Mike grew up in Dallas, TX playing a bunch of different sports. He grew a love for the game of soccer and continued his play at the Division I level at American University, where he was a goalkeeper for two years. As much as he loves to compete, Mike always had a knack for team comradery. After graduating college, he stayed in the D.C. area but was missing the team aspect of competing. He was introduced to Crossfit by a good friends and former coach at Praxis, Matt Winans. And from there on out, he was hooked with CrossFit and weightlifting. He had always had a love for staying fit and healthy as him and his sister would show pictures of the different healthy foods they made or workouts they did that day. He decided since he showed up to Praxis just about every single day, why not take his learning to the next level and become a coach. Since he started coaching back in February of 2017, he hasn’t looked back. Helping people achieve their fitness goals while constantly motivating them to do the best they can has always been in his veins and he continues to do that here with the wonderful Praxis community.
